2009. I was home, in Paris, taking some time for myself to be creative. I was cooking, learning to sculpt, doing just about anything to express myself…
I spent a lot of time wearing an amazingly soft blanket. The softness was not only comforting, but pleasurable. And I wanted to share it.
At this point in my life, I had already built one business and raised a great family.
I was looking ahead, wondering what the next chapter in my life would be. I realized that I wanted to share the pleasure of the softness I felt.
I brought it up to my best friend, Marie Auboiron, an experienced interior designer based in Morocco. Together, we found the answer - Hedonies.
The idea behind Hedonies was to create a meaningful brand of luxury shawls - shawl so impossibly soft, they could serve as emotional support for any woman trying to live on their own terms - the same way I did back in France. The fact that they’d look great along the way, was a welcome bonus.
But it would take more than just a deep passion to realize the high quality product we had in mind. I returned to Los Angeles (now Hedonies' home) with a mission.
